On April 2, Jenny Marrs took to Instagram to celebrate her and Dave’s 20th wedding anniversary with a heartfelt message and touching video clips from their beautifully windy wedding day.

She began by describing a moment from the present, watching Dave carry roofing materials to the barn “before the storm rolls in,” and reflected, “Because that’s who you are: Selflessly thinking ahead about how to best care for and protect your family.”

Jenny then looked back on their wedding day, writing, “I think back to another windy spring day, exactly twenty years ago. My veil twirled as we recited our vows with glistening eyes and full hearts. We were babies — stating words that were said years before by our parents and their parents — not fully understanding their meaning. Yet, we knew that the vows and promises we made that day were being echoed in eternity. We knew that our life together would be built on a firm foundation of faith and we would face whatever lie ahead, together.”

The Fixer to Fabulous star also reminisced about their reception, saying, “We danced late into the night, surrounded by our family and lifelong friends as we celebrated the absolute wonderment of finding one another.” She added, “And, even though we shared big dreams for our life together, we had no clue that God had plans for our life that we couldn’t have begun to hope for or dream up on our own.”

Reflecting on the love they’ve shared through the years, Jenny shared, “At the time, we were just two kids hopelessly in love. Now, we are still those same two kids, and, as the years have unfolded (more quickly than we could have expected), our love has only grown deeper and stronger.”

She concluded her post with a message of gratitude and enduring love: “Together, we have walked through dark valleys and faced intense trials. Together, we have celebrated abundant joy and marveled at our extravagant blessings (five to be exact). And, together, we have adventured and laughed and worked and loved. Together. Always, together. I couldn’t imagine anyone else by my side. Happy 20th anniversary, my love! 🤍”

Dave Marrs also marked their special day with a heartfelt yet simple tribute, sharing a sweet slideshow of moments with Jenny and their beautiful family.
